Students will be able to explore contemporary chicano culture through the media and arts such as music, literature, film and television, and art.
Identity 5 ID.9-12.5. I recognize traits of the dominant culture, my home culture and other cultures, and I am conscious of how I express my identity as I move between those spaces.
Students will be assessed in a variety of ways. The assessments will include presentations, graphic organizers, small group and whole class discussions, am art project, and notes or pictures from the Service Learning project at Chicano Park in San Diego.
